  6. I loved the new song, just as much as I love the others! I’m definitely going to come see you when you come to Dallas!! I also wanted to say that I just watched the video on youtube where you talked about the meaning behind the words of ‘Home’ and wow, it really touched me. I just broke down and cried because it was perfect timing and I really needed to remember that story. It’s awesome how God works that way. Thank you and God bless ๐Ÿ™‚

  11. Phil – What a call of Christ’s comfort your song “Sailing On A Ship” is. It is nearing the anniversary date of my own father’s “sailing home to heaven.” I’m listening to your song with tears rolling down my cheeks, memories flooding my mind, and Christ’s triumph filling my heart. When grief threatened to overwhelm my spirit, your song reminded me not to despair. My dad got to sail home to his friend Jesus on the golden shores of eternity and through Christ’s victory I will see him again!

“For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:38,39

  17. Phil, since I can’t listen to your music at school…you should seriously put up the lyrics to your new songs so I can at least read them!!!!!!

  18. Hey Phil, you have no idea who I am but your musics a huge influence and blessing.

  23. Great song! I am soooo excited about your new CD! I haven’t gotten it yet, but I certainly plan to. Keep up the good work and God bless you for all the work that you do! : )

  24. you ought to put an RSS Feed on this site ask Brody about it.

  25. FREE SONG? you make me happy. ๐Ÿ™‚

  26. Amelia posted a bulletin about this free song on MySpace. I love it! It was cool reading the inspiration for the song. I haven’t read all the Chronicles of Narnia books. I guess I should. I used to not be too big on novels and “The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe” was the popular one.

I went on your website yesterday and it was really cool reading about how you got into music; how it was like thearaputic for you when you moved here. It was touching reading about how you came to a place in your life where the faith your parents taught you had to become your own. I’ve just been so inspired lately reading, hearing or seeing the great work God’s doing in others. It makes me wonder, “What does God have for me to do?” It’s so cool to see what we all can accomplish when we all are faithful to do what God leads us to do. =D!!!

  27. I believe it is abouit that time…time for a new post before we have our own conversation on your blog.

  28. Yeah. Because I bet tomorrow I’ll have tons of topics fit for a nice, lengthy conversation with anyone who happens to read your comments and feel compelled by all the interesting things I have to say.

  29. the chronicles of narnia rock! and ripacheep, i can’t remember now how to spell it, well, he was funny! he was a brave mouse! i think it’s great you like to read and cs lewis is good reading!

  30. Hey…I am back from So. Cal…..uhhh….in case anyone noticed I was gone for awhile….lol. Yes Shawn, I do believe it is time for a conversation on the Philsters blog. What shall we pick as a topic this time?????? 1. astrological ramblings, 2. raindrops on roses, 3. pizza toppings, 4. Gravity…what would we do without it, or 5. does Phil really read all of these comments…..and how does he feel about the slight deviations from his original topic?? UHHHHHH…I personally vote for the Gravity convo…..hehehe….Phil, don’t worry….your fans are definatly NOT the lunatic fringe we seem to be…at least I am pretty sure I am sane.

  31. Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens
Bright copper kettles and warm woolen mittens
Brown paper packages tied up with strings Cream colored ponies and crisp apple streudels
Doorbells and sleigh bells and schnitzel with noodles
Wild geese that fly with the moon on their wings Girls in white dresses with blue satin sashes
Snowflakes that stay on my nose and eyelashes
Silver white winters that melt into springs

we can talk about those things. Kim B by the way I answered you question on the last set of comments.

  32. and I would so begg to differ on your claim to sanity Kim B.

  33. I have a great conversation starter.
    Go here:

  34. Hey Shawn….I don’t just claim to be sane….I play a sane person on T.V. uhhhhh…..sorry, I’m in random mode !!!!

uhhhh…and Shawn I am impressed you know the verses to raindrops on roses….but, what have you against the chorus…you know the wonderful part….

    “When the dog bites
    When the bee stings
    When I am feeling sad,
I simply remember my favorite things,
And then I don’t feel so bad!!!!”

And you forgot the part where it says “These are a few of my favorite things” between verses.

but, hey…..I only know that cuz I have seen the sound of music a million times !!!!

oooohhh…and what did you answer on the last set of questions????? I am confused….help!!!!!

And I love the Chicken garlic pizza from Round table Pizza !!!!

And Gravity is really really important…imagine eating pizza without it.

And the sun does not technically rise and set… stays stationary….we rotate around it….and spin on our axis thus giving the illusion of the setting and rising…..

    that’s all folks…..have a very sane day!!!!!!!

  35. Hey Kim B,
First I did not include “these are a few of my favorite things” because, well, they’re not. I have seen the sound of music about as many times, this of course does not take away from my masculinity. I still love, The Shawshank Redemption, Braveheart, Saving Private Ryan, and Ice Age…all the manly movies.
I personally prefer the sausage pizza from Round Table Pizza. Problem is there is not one anywhere near me, maybe this isn’t a problem as the more pizza you eat the more you notice the gravity which you claim “is really really importantโ€ฆimagine eating pizza without it.”
I agree the sun does not set or rise, but as your said we rotate, hense the gravity thing.
You asked me if “I still go to Calvary Chapels?” I did until almost a year ago when I “stopped going to church.” If this is something you want to know more about talk to me on my blog about it.
And last but not least, I still question your sanity, it is easy to question because I see certain traits that are earily familiar.

  36. I was so hopeful that the consistent posts would continue….sigh.

  37. You can’t expect that from Phil these days unless he’s promoting himself. Haha.

And I’m surprised he didn’t post so people could vote for him for the CCM Reader’s awards.

  38. I know someone who was talking to Phil yesterday and found out that he is visiting about 3 radio stations a day and doing concerts this whole month. And, that these radio stations are many, many hours apart from each other. Not getting much sleep. He could use our prayers.

  39. Well you did the work for him Raquel… Nice Job! Now everybody go vote!!

  40. Phil, I do believe this is my new theme song! It reminds me of Ecclesiastes 3:11 “He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the hearts of men; yet they cannot fathom what God has done from beginning to end.”

  41. Yo Shawn……I will go to your site for the answer to the big Q.
I understand the whole not wanting peeps to know you really like the raindrops song…it’s ok….hehehe
oooooooo…familiar traits of insanity, sounds like a hardcore screamo type of song title !!!
And one more time….vote for Phil !!!!

  42. YES! Free songs are amazing!! Thanks Phil. ๐Ÿ™‚

  43. Yeah I’m like Phil’s official ‘promotions director’ now.
Whether he likes it or not (:
